🌳 “Roots of Hope, Leaves of Tomorrow” 🌳 Lions Club of Panvel Sargam – Planting Green, Growing Purpose ⸻ 🟢 Lions Global Cause Covered: Protecting Our Environment ⸻ 🌱 Name of the Activity: Tree Plantation Drive in Amardham, Panvel City Venue: Amardham Road, Panvel City Organized by DC Environment Lion Mustafa Afsar In collaboration with Panvel Municipal Corporation Special thanks to Mr. Siddharth Kamble, Municipal Office In-Charge 💚 About the Event & Its Importance: In a world that’s racing toward concrete and chaos, Lions Club of Panvel Sargam paused — to plant. This was more than a plantation activity. It was an act of preservation, a prayer for the planet, and a promise to the future. The event was inspired by a collective desire to leave behind not just footprints, but shade, air, and life for the generations to come. ⸻ 🌿 What We Did: • 25 healthy saplings were planted along the road near Amardham in Panvel • Active collaboration took place with Panvel Municipal Corporation for planning and execution • Students of the Leo Club of Kalsekar Technical Campus added youthful energy and commitment to the cause • Post-plantation, we ensured proper tagging, watering, and pit refilling for each sapling to survive and thrive ⸻ 🎁 What We Donated: • 25 saplings, eco-tools, and protective support materials • Voluntary time, labor, and love by Lions and Leos ⸻ 💰 Cost of Project/Donations: Estimated total cost: ₹7,500 Covered through club member contributions and in-kind support ⸻ 🦁 Lions Involved: • Ln. Because when Lions plant a tree, it’s not just for the earth. It’s for every child who will rest under its shade, every bird who will build a home, and every breath that will be a little easier.
