Event Report: “Bhukha Na Rahe Koi” Organized by: Lions Club of Ulwe Gems In Twinning With: 20+ Lions Clubs Date & Venue: Shree Gorakshnath Mandir, Vahal Beneficiaries: 550 Total Amount Spent: ₹12,000 Lions Present: 6 Total Lion Hours: 30 --- Overview: Under the noble initiative “Bhukha Na Rahe Koi”, the Lions Club of Ulwe Gems, in collaboration with more than 20 fellow Lions Clubs, organized a large-scale food distribution drive at Shree Gorakshnath Mandir, Vahal. The event aimed to support underprivileged and needy individuals with freshly cooked, nutritious meals. --- Purpose: This initiative reflects the Lions’ global mission to serve communities and fight hunger, ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry. The effort focused on delivering immediate relief to 550 beneficiaries, including daily wage workers, elderly individuals, and marginalized families. --- Event Highlights: Hot meals were prepared and distributed with attention to hygiene and nutrition. The drive was executed with seamless coordination among all twinning clubs. 6 Lions members from Ulwe Gems were actively involved in on-ground support and logistics. 30 total Lion hours were dedicated, including planning, procurement, preparation, and distribution. --- Impact: 550 individuals received wholesome meals, ensuring food security for at least a day. Enhanced community trust and awareness about Lions’ humanitarian work. Strengthened inter-club collaboration through impactful twinning. --- Acknowledgments: We express our heartfelt gratitude to: All partnering Lions Clubs for their generous support and collaboration.
