LION LADY MOHINI & LION MUKESH TANEJA

Humble realistic Lion Mukesh has faced many challenges in this crazy ride of Lionism and in every challenge, his values, morals, and principles were constantly tested. During his Lionistic journey of 28 years and being the last District Governor of united District 3231-A2, he did not change his dignity even after attaining popularity.

An ideal grassroot Lion has always maintained his decency with true spirits through his deeds, commitments as well as by his words.
Being a compassionate human, always chased to preserve the relations by understanding the sentiments and emotions of members of Lions fraternity. 

The era of Trailblazer Lion Mukesh started in the year 1995 through Lions Club of New Bombay CBD. With his helpful nature and commitment became Club President in the year 2002-03. With NO SHORT CUT Lionstic Journey, he raised the bar of excellence in portfolios like Zone Chairperson, Leo District Advisor, Region Chairperson, Joint District Cabinet Secretary, Extension Chairperson, FIRST GMT Coordinator, Talent Hunt, Sightfirst Coordinator, District Cabinet Secretary, Environment Chairperson and Diabetes Awareness Coordinator. The most trustworthy Mukesh is known as One Man for all Seasons is always fueled with a desire to serve the underprivileged and mankind.

A touch of class is always seen through his smartness and oratory. Highly popular communicator with speaking ability along with expertise in event management has made him a Great Show Man.   

Possessed with an attribute that helped him to evolve as an exemplary leader. As quoted, “Every Great Dream Begins with A Dreamer” and with his powerhouse experience, he rose from the foundation to the summit.

An Administrator Par Excellence, made a spectacular mark in the history of Lions Club of New Bombay CBD on 28th June 2022 when he took the reins of District 3231-A2 leadership.

TREND SETTER District Governor is known as a charismatic and progressive leader. Under the leadership of Miracle Chaser Lion Mukesh, District recaptured its peak in Administration, Service activities, Kindness & in fellowship.

WMMR reporting along with service reporting was accorded 100% and for the first time, District 3231-A2 remained in TOP TEN DISTRICTS IN INDIA towards 100% reporting for consecutive 12 months.

Administrative skills and discipline made him climb the rungs and establish his name on the big stage in every aspect of Lionism. During the year, out of 120 clubs, 113 DG Visits were accomplished. LCIF contribution of around 40,000US$ was a hand of help to the needy.
The E-Waste Project remained at par excellence by the only District of MD-3231 to fulfill the dreams of 3rd International Vice President Lion A. P. Singh.

His tenure as District Governor saw many remarkable bench marks under his leadership. Lions Business Connect, Personal transformation, Orientation & Training Sessions, Celebrities & Hospitality, Peace Poster, Lions Quest, Sports tournament, 108 सूर्य नमस्कार yoga Meditation event, श्री स्पर्धा, Cine Vision, Lions Image enhancement, Awareness Rallies, Alibag & Uran Festival has taken Lionism to into the hearts of many.

Inauguration of 9 Check Dams, 3 Vision Center establishment, 17 Permanent Projects, 97 new signature activities have strengthened many clubs.

The year 22-23 will be cherished for many years for 5 District Picnics by flying to 3 International destinations & for 2 Domestic tours. 

Devotional मंत्र has boosted Brotherhood initiative in the District and satisfied the souls of many. 5 Devotional trip to अष्टविनायक, एकवीरा - कोल्हापुर, वाराणसी - अयोध्या, तिरुपति बालाजी. First ever Lions चार धाम यात्रा was a DREAM COME TRUE.

सवांद – DG Mukesh के साथ was an initiative begun with an intention of developing a bridge between Governor & grass root Lions to sort out their queries. 

DG Mukesh has donned many mantles and noteworthy to him is the redistricting process and District bifurcation. He is known to motivate the new leaders, club officers. As said, that “leadership is to accept responsibility and not for operating power game” which made Lion Mukesh Taneja as District Governor, stand out different from the rest of the crowd. The Lionistic year 2022-23 witnessed 2 Conventions in one year and the 6th Annual District Conference happened to be the first of its kind historical moment for 3231-A2 Lions. 

District Governor, Lion Mukesh led by example through सद्भावना यात्रा and for Observation of Remembrance Day in the memory of late Past District Governors.

The extraordinary versatility seen in two wings of Lions movement i.e. Leo & LLA. Under the leadership of Lion Lady Auxiliary Chairperson-Mohini, Lion Lady Auxiliary Day was celebrated for the first time in our District with a theme उम्र बचपन की दिल पचपन का. Throughout the year, Lion Ladies have enjoyed their day in their own way by leaving aside all their burden. Fun Fellowship–Fashion Fiesta, Dubai picnic, एकवीरा – कोल्हापुर यात्रा, माता की चौकी, Service projects including Check dam construction, last human rite honour, Permanent Project of Sports Center, Sanitary Napkin Vending machines, Bore Wells, Distribution of हाथ ठेला, Women empowerment etc. has made them to stand parallel to Lions. 

Today, we look back with pride towards the achievements captured during 22-23 by Fashion Icon District Governor Mukesh and, we feel proud of executing meetings, PDG Honouring, events etc. in new avenues and creating history in many fields especially in Joy of giving October Service week & in सद्भावना यात्रा.  

“Don’t wait for an opportunity, create it” was the thought process of DG Lion Mukesh which took District by fancy with many electrifying performances inclusive of Festival Celebrations, Fellowship with Movie Screenings, Lions Idol.

District Governor, Mukesh always leads by example. His track record of consistent growth displays his immense potential as a capable leader. His slogan “BETTER TOGETHER” personifies his vision of taking the Lions family dedication towards the cause of service to mankind.
He believes that, as Lions, we can make a difference in the world through bonds of friendship, respect and commitment.

Legacy of un interrupted service to the community is candid enough to admit that success has conferred him with many awards including “PHOENIX AWARD” in 2012-13 and “JEWEL OF DISTRICT” in LY 2014-15. His punctuality and sincerity were rewarded with LION OF THE YEAR AWARD in 2016-17.

On the professional front, an MBA graduate and a noted Construction Engineer retired from the Govt. of Maharashtra undertaking CIDCO Organisation after 31 years of committed loyal service.

The family frame at home comprises a very dedicated and supportive multi talented spouse, LL Mohini, a very versatile singer. She nurses the home front diligently and stands steadfast in helping District Governor Lion Mukesh Taneja in pursuing his dreams and ambitions.

Family comprises 2 young smart handsome sons well settled in their respective fields, Civil Engineer Anikeit, pursuing Masters abroad and Sankeit, an Corporate Lawyer with International Firm pursuing Article ship.
