Armed with Original Concepts and Ideas with basic Instincts, a Trend Setter, Lion Anil Jadhav served as Silver Jubilee Club President of Lions Club of Alibag and as a Silver Jubilee District Governor for Lionistic Year 2014-15 with his Theme aptly named “Temple of Service” and his Pin was declared at the Lions Coordination Committee of India as the Best among all the 69 Districts of India. Notable achievements including but not limiting to, are : Generation of Huge Funds through New fund raising ideas like lotteries and festivals. Maintaining good public relations, Introducing a voting system by Non Lions through the Lions International Web Site to find out the Most Popular Club of the District, Increased a record growth of 338 membership and new Clubs, Encouraged Women Membership through Seminars on Women Empowerment, Enrolled 125 Melvin Jones Fellows as a District Chairperson LCIF, Revitalized the Sight First Committee with 4000 plus Cataract Operations as a Principal Coordinator, Took for the first time a District Team comprising of 29 Delegates on ISAAME platform in Sri Lanka and handed over 2000 IOLs to Lankan Lions. Travelled 10,000 Kms in Raigad Region to strengthen the Clubs under his Region as Region Chairperson. Distributed 10000 books to students by conducting 10 Teachers workshops under Lions Quest during his Governorship. He is instrumental in starting a permanent project at Alibag as Lions Eye Hospital under Lions Health Foundation, Alibag a public charitable Trust. The trust has now been empaneled under Government of Maharashtra’s Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jana Aarogya Yojana i.e. MJPJAY and Central Governments PMJAY. Lions Eye Hospital, Alibag is the only Lions Eye Hospital in the whole of our country to be empaneled so under the said scheme. International President Lion Douglas X. Alexander has bestowed upon him with the highest award of Lions International “Ambassador of Goodwill”.
