MJF Lion Amarchand K. Sharma fondly known as A.K. Sharma has been diligently serving our District for over 26 years. He is known for his honest and affirmative nature. He has a natural drive to conduct activities at a large scale.

He joined Lions Club of New Bombay Vashi in the year 1995 and became President of this Premier Club in 2002-03, under his leadership he completed the Sevashram project and obtained Occupancy Certificate and inaugurated Lion Service Centre.

The first ever Leo Club in Navi Mumbai was extended by him during his tenure as President of Lions Club of Vashi, this Leo Club has given 2 Leo District Presidents and 1 Leo Multiple District President.

As Zone Chairperson, apart from various service projects and activities he distributed 15 Sewing Machines and completed 51 Bore-Well projects by supplying Steel Boring Pipes from his own Factory Brand (AMAR).

His tenure as Region Chairperson is a memorable one. His Region Conference was unique with 3 days Service Festival followed by Mass Marriage of 15 couples.

Secondly collection of Rs 3,00,000/- was given to Tsunami affected areas for School Building in South India.

In 2005-06 we distributed one truck load of groceries in flood affected areas of Nagothane.

Seminar on Yoga and live demonstration of honouring of Ex-Defence personnel was conducted.

He served as Jt. District Cabinet Secretary and Jt. District Cabinet Treasurer. As DC- MJF Honoring he conducted in United-21 which was a grand success and appreciated by all.

Leo District won 80% of the awards in Multiple District during his tenure as Leo District Advisor. As a Visionary Leader - Diabetes he organized 25 Diabetes Awareness Seminars, 675 Diabetes Camps with above 1 lakh screening and distributed 100 Glucometers to the Clubs. As GMT District Chairperson he opened 23 new clubs, one branch club with growth of 1680 members. As District Chairperson GST he carried out remarkable service projects, wherein the signature project was of donating 153 Bicycles to needy Adivasi girl students. Spot activities worth Rs. 51 lakhs was during Welcome Home function. He completed service activities and projects worth Rs. 21 crores with involvement of 90% clubs of our District. As a Visionary Leader Covid Warriors and Medical Camps he performed extraordinarily with involvement of 100% Clubs in our District. And carried out the Covid related service activities worth Rs. 1.23 crores.

He received many awards and recognitions, to name a few : International President's Medal, 1 International President's Leadership Medallion, 4 International Appreciation Certificates. 12 Rotating Trophies for Membership Growth and for District Chairperson GST.

3 Multiple Trophies for outstanding performance as Diabetes Chairperson, District GMT Chairperson and Best D.C. in Multiple for District Chairperson of Covid Warriors and Medical Camps, 6 Multiple District Appreciation Certificates.

He is a Charter Member of Lions Club of Koperkhairne Jewels.

The woman behind the success of Lion A.K. Sharma is his gracious spouse MJF Lion Asha Sharma. This beautiful couple are blessed with 3 charming daughters.

Eldest daughter MJF Lion Neelam Sharma Jamwal is settled in Switzerland, she is co-founder of Catterfly Travels (A Unique Travel Portal). Second daughter MJF Lion Anipa Sharma Gupta, a Past Leo is known for her charismatic personality, dynamic leadership and powerful oratory skills. She is popularly called as "The Iron Lady" by her fellow Leos. She was Leo District President, and the 2nd ever female Multiple District President. She was Zone Chairperson of our premier District. Lion Anipa is an entrepreneur and runs her own Interior Design Company in Pune. Youngest daughter Lion Akanksha Sharma is known for her bold and unbiased speeches.

She served as a very successful Leo District President.

She is working with Yes Bank as Asst. Vice President. All our 3 daughters and Sons-in-law are Lion Members. Full family is involved in Lions movement.
