A Leader with record Contribution and unparallel qualities, MJF Lion Subhash Bhalwal joined in Lions Club of New Bombay Vashi in 1984 and became its President in 1995-96. Constructed and completed a Multi diagnostic Service Centre at Koperkhairne with the help of Home Club Vashi and Lioness Club of Vashi. He is the Chairman of this Permanent Project since 1995.

He has held various positions in the District Cabinet and became District Cabinet Secretary in 2010-2011. As a DC- Activities, he mobilized funds to the tune of Rs. 45 Lacs for Lions & Lioness Clubs in Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan, for conducting their welfare activities through Hon’ble guardian Minister, Shri Ganesh Nayak. During his tenure as District Governor, added 12 Lions Clubs, 11Leo Clubs, Converted 5 Lioness Clubs to Lions Clubs, added 880 new Members with a net growth of 441 members, enrolled 46 new MJFs. Various Activities worth Rs. 5.72 Crores were carried. Other notable achievements includes: Rs 15 Crore worth of Eye Surgery Equipment at Alibaug, Rs 60 Crores worth of MOU Signed for Diaper Project, 1.5 Crore Worth of Medical Diagnostic Centre, Nirvana Hall at JJ Hospital, Dialysis & Ambulance Projects, opening Jan Aushadi Shop-1st In India. Conducted Centennial Celebrations attended by 15,000 people. Various Dignitaries including International President Lion Bob Corlew,1st International Vice President Lion Dr. Naresh Agarwal, various International Directors, Government Officials, Cabinet Ministers were attended during the District Functions. He has been bestowed with International President’s Leadership Medal, 8 International President ship Certificates, 2 times Rotating Trophy for Best District Chairperson, 4 Multiple District Awards for Retention, CEP, SightFirst and Activities. He has the Distinction of Sponsoring more than 40 members and extension of one Club. He is practicing as an Advocate, Solicitor and Notary of Govt. of India, in Hon’ble High Court- Mumbai. He is a corporate Solicitor and Advocate representing various Public Sector Undertakings including ONGC, JNPT, HPCL, BPCL, MGL etc., He is well supported by Spouse Lion Upinder - a housewife and the Couple blessed with 3 Daughters - Reshma, Poonam, Natasha and Son Anirudh. He has been elected as Multiple Council Chairperson of MD 3231 for the LY 2017-18, the first for our District 3231 A2.
